Undertaking the construction of a tailored stormwater drainage system for the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad, posed a threefold challenge. This encompassed the need for a specialised precast curved drainage system, the imperative of swift field drainage, and the constraints of a tight construction schedule.
Fuji Silvertech spearheaded the conceptualisation, design and provision of a tailored curved drainage solution for the esteemed Narendra Modi Stadium project in collaboration with L&T Construction. Overcoming multifaceted challenges, our innovative approach ensured swift surface stormwater drainage within 30 minutes while ingeniously crafting curved infrastructure to complement the stadium’s custom grid. Through meticulous value engineering, our utilisation of DU Drains (T25) with cast-in-situ joining significantly streamlined construction timelines by more than half. Additionally, our rigorous adherence to National Building Code standards, guaranteeing load-bearing capacity and resilience, further solidified the efficacy of our precast solutions. Embracing versatility, we implemented Free Slope Drains to ensure seamless water directionality across varying ground levels within the stadium premises. With a staggering array of 58 drain and 19 lid variations, meticulously adapted to meet Indian construction standards from their original Japanese design, this project epitomises our dedication to bespoke solutions tailored to our client’s needs. The intricate precast concrete drainage infrastructure at Motera Stadium underscores the effectiveness of our solutions.
