To provide customised bridge infrastructure for the India Bridge.
This project had various challenges: extreme environmental conditions and poor soil-bearing capacity. It also required an additional bridge wing wall to provide additional support.
Situated on the India-Pakistan border, the India Bridge is built in a highly challenging environment with corrosion as the primary concern. The project was executed by the Central Public Work Department (CPWD), and even with its challenges, we could provide site-specific solutions.
We designed the bridge infrastructure with a special chemical coating to resist corrosion and minimise maintenance. The soil-bearing capacity of this area was less than 4T/sq. m, so FUJI Silvertech provided 50 single-celled and 3-celled Box Culverts of 2.5m in size.
FUJI Silvertech also provided wing walls of 2m and 2.5m which helped support and load-bearing in a poor soil-bearing zone. The precast solutions ensured minimal wastage and dimensional accuracy while increasing the quality and performance of the components. With precast components such as the box culvert and retaining wall, the India Bridge’s construction time was much lower than if built with traditional in-situ construction.
These solutions provided by FUJI Silvertech have numerous benefits:
Our box culverts are a quick bridge construction solution and a possible pipe culvert replacement. They can be used for vehicular underpasses and small bridges and comply with Indian highway and railway standards for various cushion depths.
